STANLEY: HINTS ON USING A STANLEY PLANE. c1940. I guess that the British didn't warrant as fancy a pamphlet as the one produced for Australia? Proof that this is not a reproduction is the rusty outline of a Stanley block plane.

Here's the booklet that was enclosed with the #45, explaining all the working details. Which may also explain why so many people gave up on making it work properly.
